JANUARY 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Joey is still attending college doing his music diploma and he still seems to be enjoying it, he is in a band called 'Ben and The Hobbits' of which you can listen to on Youtube, also Joey still has his own videos on under 'moshpot08'.  We have had a few teenage issues to deal with since he started college, but you expect that when they reach a certain age.  Just got to muddle on through.

Shanley is still enjoying being at a mainstream high school, he has 25 hours per week care which is virtually full time.  He is now allowed out onto the school grounds at breaks and lunch on his own, this has caused a few ruffled feathers as some kids do question him about how he looks and his eyesight.  During the snow and ice a bunch of older kids thought it was fun to push him repeatedly down an ice slide, he thought they were being friendly but the teachers told me otherwise.

They have also just let him try PE this term, he has done a bit of football not that he can even catch a ball on his own, but the main thing is he is joining in and enjoying it which makes us both very happy.  The school he goes to has a Learning Support Centre and they are very good and I feel he is in a safe environment.

James is loving school still doing his drama and music.  He was in the Christmas productiion as Granny in Little Red Riding Hood, as usual he stole the show and was very funny.  He also did two dance pieces.
