SUMMER IS HERE AT LAST!!!
This week I attended a conference for BACPAC which stands for Bolton Area Council for Parents and Carers. There were guest speakers for Contact a Family North East who were informative and delightfully entertaining. We did a workshop where we had to make a wish list of what we as parents or carers or professionals want to see for Disabled Children, and it seems we are all singing from the same hymn sheet.
I made quite a few new friends and contacts and found the day to be very beneficial and I have decided to try and get more involved with BACPAC. Details on how to contact BACPAC and what it is all about can be found on our "Other Sites of Interest" page, do take a look and give me feed back.
Two people who were being tried in court for Albino Killings have failed to get a conviction and are free again, its a disgrace. Did anyone see the programme on just before the World Cup called Albino FM, it was both distrubing and amusing. They showed a little girl who had been killed and mutilated for body parts, I found this very distrubing and spent much of my time watching this documentary through tears. Very sad indeed.

Joey finished his first year at college and we have just been to admission interview for a place at Bolton Sixth Form, he got a place and support will be given so lets hope this next year for Joey is a positive one.
Shanley is coming to the end of his first year in High School and has won a prize that we have to collect at a special awards ceremony evening later this month. We do not know what the award is for, school won't tell us or Shanley so it will be a surprise on the night. So well done Shanley your a star.
